The Clinton girls were able to take the pressure from the York Cougars early to gain control of the game. When things got critical in the second half, they didn’t panic and pulled out a 49-46 victory in the second round of the AAA state playoffs.

 Clinton took an early 2-0 lead on two Teka Simpson free throws and then didn’t lead again until the final second of the game. Kierra Mars fired a three pointer from the corner with two seconds left to give the Lady Red Devils their big finish and a 38-37 win.

The Clinton JV girls (13-3) clinched the thirteenth win of the season against the Chapman Panthers Wednesday night. Nine of twelve Red Devil players scored for Clinton as they pulled away with a 39-21 victory.
