Clinton struggled at the plate in the region opener as they were held to just five hits in five innings of play. Chapman countered with 13 runs on 16 hits to take a convincing win 13-0.

Clinton got the key two out hits when they needed them Monday night against Wade Hampton. The Generals went up 2-0 and tied the game at 3-3 in the sixth. A two out hit on the bottom of the seventh gave Clinton the 4-3 victory.

Clinton softball traveled to Clover for a Saturday doubleheader. The Red Devils gave a great effort, but a bad inning in the first game cost them the game, and the inability to get a hit at key times cost them in the second.

It was a bad night for Clinton softball as their bats were quiet for the second game in a row. They gave up five runs in the first to the Walhalla Razorbacks and seven in the seventh to lose 12-0.
