| Nichols shines at Byrnes golf tournament |

The Clinton High School golf team played in the first tournament of the season Wednesday afternoon.
Hunter Nichols shot a 78 on the day and finished ninth overall. His score put him within one shot of making the All-Tournament team. Nate Moody also played well shooting an 87. Michael Mann and Jay Addison played in their first high school tournament. Of their efforts, Coach Chris Wofford remarked, "It was their first tournament which can be intimidating. I was real pleased with the attitude they displayed." Nine teams participated in the tournament which was hosted by Byrnes. Riverside came in first place followed by Boiling Springs and then Hillcrest. Clinton placed ninth. |
