The all-star squad is made up of players from Clinton High School, Laurens District 55 High School and Laurens Academy. The players were selected to the team by the staff of GoLaurens.com and GoClinton.com. As the teams left it all on the hardwood this season, several players stood out among the rest. For their hard work and leadership, these players were named Laurens County Players of the Year.
On the boy’s side, LDHS senior Luquon Choice and CHS senior Devaris Burton are Co-Players of the Year. Burton was a leader on and off the court and opposing defenses struggled to defend him. He finished the year with 21.2 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game. Choice averaged 17 points a game, 6.2 rebounds per game and 1.7 blocks per game. He also led the Raiders in assists.
LDHS Head Boys Basketball Coach Mark Freeze and CHS Head Girls Basketball Coach Chris Wofford were given Coach of the Year honors for the 2011-2012 season. The remaining players selected for the All-Laurens County basketball team are as follows: (Boys) Chase Brewington – LA Billy Rockefeller – LA Van Nibert – CHS Jerome Wimphrie – CHS Lavadrick Glenn – CHS Alex Mills – LDHS D'zondra Cunningham – LDHS

After a season full of ups and downs, last-second shots and tough playoff matchups, GoLaurens.com and GoClinton.com have selected the All-Laurens County basketball team for the 2011-2012 season.
For the girls, Gabrielle Bates from CHS earned Player of the Year honors for her improved play against conference opponents.
