Clinton needed to defeat Blue Ridge to clinch the region 3-3A crown on Tuesday night. They made short order of the Tigers as they pulled out to a 33-24 halftime lead and stretched it to a 73-47 victory to win the region title.

Indya Kinard led the Red Devil charge in the first half with eight points. Gabby Bates, Teka Simpson, and Ellie Tallman added six each in the half to give Clinton a nine point advantage.

Gabby Bates added 11 second half points to lead the Red Devils with 17 on the night. Kinard finished with 16, Tallman with 12, and Kiley Frazier with 10. Clinton had nine girls to score in the contest.

“We came out playing as a unit and not worrying about who scores,” Coach Chris Wofford commented. “We are able to plug someone is when someone needs to come out.”

Clinton will host Senior Night on Thursday. Game time against Chapman is scheduled for 6:00.
