The Clinton junior varsity boys continue to improve with each game this season. They took on Christ Church Thursday and won their eighth straight game, by a score of 40-26. Clinton jumped out to a fast start and held an 11-4 advantage after the first quarter. They stretched the lead to thirteen by the half for a 24-11 edge at intermission. Christ Church was able to make adjustments and hold the game even for most of the rest of the game, but could not cut into the Red Devil lead. Clinton was led in scoring by Nike Davis with 12. Timothy Williams and RJ Robinson chipped in eight each. Coach Eddie Romines summed up his teams effort. “The main thing is we won. We played pretty good defense. Not as well offensively as we have been. We were able to take advantage of our heights to get easy baskets when we needed them. Timothy Williams was the catalyst for us tonight to get us going.” The Clinton junior varsity will travel to Blue Ridge next Tuesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:15.
