Clinton hosted Woodruff on Friday night. The Red Devils were able to play good defense and come away with their first win of the season, 35-20.

Clinton jumped out to a 13-7 lead in the first quarter. They extended their lead in the second by holding the Wolverines to two points while adding ten.

Both teams were only able to score five points in the third quarter. Clinton then held on to win in the fourth by outscoring Woodruff 7-6 to take a 35-20 victory.

“I thought we hustled, had good effort, and were unselfish on offense,” Coach Romines said “We missed too many easy shots. We have got to improve our shooting. It was good to get that first win.”

Clinton, 1-4, will travel to Woodruff next Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:15.
