The FCA Night of Rockin' with our Rock was a great night full of food, fun, and awesome fellowship. There was over 175 students that enjoyed free pizza and piled into the CHS Auditorium Tuesday night, November 8th.
Once in the auditorium, the student-led worship band, One Way Redemption, had the place rocking and every student on their feet dancing and singing. The guest speaker for the night was the Pastor at First Baptist Simpsonville, Randy Harling, who spoke about how the choices you make today will affect your future, and the importance of leadership in your school and reaching out to other students. The number of students attending FCA meetings has gone from about four or five students at the end of last year, to almost 200 at the night meetings and anywhere from 60 to120 every Thursday morning. There is no doubt God is doing big things at Clinton High School. The sky is the limit for this organization! The next meeting is Thursday morning, November 17th at 7:15. Clinton High volleyball coach, Mrs. Templeton, will be speaking. (the author, Van Nibert is a student in the journalism class at CHS) |
